In the early s, with an undergraduate degree in 18th-century New England architecture from Marlboro College in Vermont, Robert Foley was lured to Newport by a college classmate, and the rest, as they say, is history. Foley spent much of the s and s as a marine photographer, and in was pulled back to the NRF as director of preservation — a post he held until his recent retirement earlier this year. They are the sum of the efforts of dedicated clients, capable de professionals, and skilled craftspeople.
